More of the same

More resting, more forcing my uncooperative mind into stillness, more lessons in permitting other people to take care of me, and more moments of joy too as I find that things don't all fall apart without me in control. Endless creating, reading, stitch by quiet stitch to the sounds of the radio and my little ones going about their days with all the energy of childhood.More visits from friends. More gifts, and smiles, and successes.Walks on the park(s) for them, every day, with Daddy. Cooking, with Daddy. Playing, with Daddy. And quiet sofa moments for me to read a story, kiss a bumped head, nurse a tired baby, allow some poking of the projects as they investigate how crochet works with their usual curiosity. I am waiting for them to all go out this afternoon before I try the knitting again. ;)

And for my mum... :)

  1. Wow, you've definitely caught the bug! On to knitting now? I am so impressed, if not a little scared, by how you're coming along after only a couple of days! The hat for you mom looks lovely! And booties too! Me thinks you're going to run out of wool soon, and that just creates so many problems with lustful temptation at wool shops, so be warned!

BTW, just loving the picture of the Baby and the cat "squaring up". There should so be a caption competition for that photo! It's so comic.

    Happy healing! xxx

  2. The baby is actually nursing there, whilst squeezing the cat's paw. The cat is purring like crazy for some reason!

I personally like the picture of Jenna, ecstatically dancing to the Bay City Rollers!

Am kind of running out of wool, but am ordering more online lol. ;)

  3. Hmm... looks like you've been sent this ankle problem as a means of slowing down and learning a new skill!!! Considering you've never croched before you should be very pleased with your results. So when do you open your folksy store for business?!!!

  6. Yay! Wool from Joxy this morning! :) Ordered some plain green, and considering some more freedom spirit (love the flame one)... Must resist til Monday.

  8. Cream, 100% wool. Perfect for a bean I know of who will be on the way in late spring.

  9. Ohhh, nice, although, you have to be careful with 100% wool and babies, it's not always the softest wool, and you also on the whole have to hand wash! I'm very excited, started chatting to someone on ravelry and she's going to send me some hand dyed alpaca yarn as she's trying to destash. How amazing is that?!
