Book Sharing Monday... Tuesday... Whatever.

WHSmiths vouchers bought the girls some new colouring books.  I fell in love with these doodle books, really and truly the nicest ones I've seen.  Now *there's* a worksheet I can get on board with.  ;)

Well, let's face it, filling squared paper with little arrows and similar is what I spent a surprisingly large number of hours doing in college maths classes...

The children know how much I like the books.  Any time one gets pulled out, a little person comes and sits next to me and says sweetly, "do you want to colour in with me, mummy?"  Yes, yes I would!

I suspect they only ask me because they want to borrow my nice (expensive) fine liners, but ah well.  I'll take what I can get.

  2. Colouring and doodling is wonderful! I have some lovely Marvy Le Plumes and we really enjoyed filling a book of 'stained glass' colouring pages with them :-)

    1. I think everyone needs to do some colouring in sometimes! I find mandala colouring very soothing too. :)

  4. we have that book and love it too! I also have a christmas doodle and halloween doodle book that comes out each year, and the boys love re-visiting them and carrying on from where they left off last year!

    1. We so often avoid book shops because of the spending-money-we-don't-have temptation. But... it's educational! Fine motor skills and creativity and stuff. ;) And a good chunk of money off always helps, haha.

  5. Thankfully I worked at WHSmith (just off on maternity leave), so the kids book buyer gave me a whole stash of books! Well over £200 (based on RRP). The 3 for 2 deals are good though
