A little celebratory photo fest in honour of my FIVE year old. :) Birthday table set ready for the morning...
Last picture of Morgan at age four. Yes, still the penguin. He is still her baby, after all these years, and I can't see him ever being set aside for a prettier doll.
First picture of my beaming five year old, so proud!
Presents...
The knitted vest is so beautiful on her, I can't believe I made it, but then I can't believe I birthed and raised this sweet girl! The latter is the bigger miracle. Where does the time go? How on earth did we get here? Life is just TOO amazing.
Candles and morning time joys.
Cake for breakfast. She asked for a paper Chinese dragon for her birthday, and a rainbow cake, and I tried, I really did.
She's such a very grateful person, so simply delighted with any little thing anyone does for her, she would never complain about my pathetic paper dragon or wonky birthday cake tasting rather more of food colouring than anything else (and the food colouring in itself a sign of a rather more laid back frame of mind than in previous years lol). She was just THRILLED. With everything. All day.
The magic of a Christingle service. Truly, Morgan's eyes reflect every bit of light the world offers her. She astounds me.
We had pizza with family, in Morgan's favourite restaurant, where the children get to watch the pizza being made. I just can't believe how unhurried and wonderful today has been. Something of Morgan's self, washing over all of us, such a gift to be her mama. :)
