I stayed up late decorating her birthday table, finishing decorating her cake, and wrapping her gifts in our silks.
The last picture of this two year old...
And here she is, bright and shining and three!
As usual, I meant to add something to her birthday crown, I meant to do this that and the other, and time flashed by so that her birthday quite sneaked up on me! Ah well. Funny how the squirrel decoration still suits her so.
Jenna knitted the purple headband for her, Jenna's very first finished knitting projects (I helped a lot more than I intended to this time, but it *did* have a time limit on it!)
Octonauts stickers... I am bowing to the inevitable a little on that one...
Lacing cards from us. We are trying to avoid buying toys really, but there is room for more puzzles and things like that. Jenna drew a beautiful Octonaut-themed birthday card.
She found her birthday table all lit up downstairs, and some mini pastries for breakfast.
We had a lovely day with family, and even found this huge slide to go on in town (grandad paid, and Daddy got to play too).
Birthdays are so magical and full of little traditions. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day for her.
