Yarn Along - Rainbow Mitts, Finished Socks

DSC03106

I knitted a pair of Leave These to Me mitts for a friend. I love them very much, in their hand dyed rainbow sparkle-ness. I knitted Jenna a super-short pair of lace mitts out of the scraps after she admired these so much. No pictures of those yet, though.

Yes, and I finally finished the Toots socks. :)

And also read the first three Cadfael books by Ellis Peters, which I swear I honestly did pick up for Jenna and not for me, really. It was the kind of week where I badly needed to decompress once the kidlets were all finally asleep!

Gosh is that the time? It looks like we're about to be late for Sling Meet again...

Joining Ginny and friends for the weekly round-up of knitting and reading again. :)

  1. Well done for the knitting, I haven't managed to pick up my needles in way too long ... too much chaos and sickness at this end, I quoted a Silvia Plath title to Dave on Monday as in "I'm NOT waving, I'm literally drowning!!!"

Love your ramblings about the walk, seriously you didn't expect your free ranging gang to stick to a path, did you?!!! *smiles*, for sure if they did, your life would be very boring indeed!!!!

    1. Knitting has been reminding me to breathe, again, ya know, that kind of week (or two). The house is in total chaos, but the knitting stitch-by-stitch is keeping me sane so it has taken priority over tidying! :)

I'm almost finished the "leftie" (on ravelry) and it looks like those could go with it as a set!

    1. I highly recommend both the pattern and the books for soothing-to-the-soul afternoons. I would recommend the yarn too, but I hate advertising! ;)
