What seven year old chooses to go out in a grey boy's jacket and thigh-high dayglo socks? Oh. Yes. Mine.
She told me the other day that most of her friends wear sensible grown-up clothes, but that's fine because it suits them. She also said that sometimes she wants to fit in and wishes she was just the same as everyone else, but any time she gets to choose clothes she can't help liking the bright fun stuff!

Well done Jenna. I won a fashion show (designer not model lol) at art school and the 1st prize was £100. As a single parent and an art student, money was often tight, so I split it with the kids and said, I will not interfere, you can buy what ever you like. What did they choose? Official football team tops (possibly the ugliest clothes group in the world). Did you read the part about 'I WON A FASHION SHOW' Honestly I would have been pleased to see a bit of originality in their clothes/choices but I let them have them, because I said I wouldn't interfere lol.

Hahaha sounds about right!
DeleteI think she looks lovely in whatever she is comfortable in. It is good to be individual.

I am a grown up and I like bright colours :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! There is an identikit look for a child Jenna's age around here though - mini teenager outfit 1) short black dress or 2) skinny jeans and light coloured turtleneck.
DeleteI always think your Jenna dresses beautifully, but then she's inherited her mama's style!!

I think more likely her grandma's! My mum is far more stylish than me. :)
DeleteI love this 💗
ReplyDeleteI love Jenna's style, she is a very special girl :D
ReplyDeleteJenna has great style! I love her individuality. Our girls are definitly unique in their style too! They love to dress up and think nothing of going to the shops in fairy or mermaid costumes :)
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time I said I would never let my children go out in dressing up clothes. By the time Jenna was toddling I'd decided life was too short and too precious not to go to the shops in a fairy outfit.
DeleteYou are raising the next generation of Succulent Wild Women! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your girls' style. Phoebe liked looking at the pictures of Jenna and Ezra got very excited when he spied Talia! xx
