So, the huge crochet blanket is growing slowly but surely. :) Must be about half way, now. I'm really pleased with it.
Talia is really pleased with it too. In fact, all the wee wild ones love it very much.
In other yarnie news, Low Tide was killing me (what with having worked the first front lace piece no less than five times, and the second piece about four times, and STILL having left in a - matching - mistake in each just because I didn't want to pull back again), but now I have made friends with it and am almost finished on the entire bodice section. And in the hand dyed sea-green yarn, it is just gorgeous.
I re-read Unseen Academicals last week, and enjoyed it slightly more on second reading. I'm not feeling so much like reading, again, I guess too many projects on at once to concentrate on a book. My mum gave me The Light Between Oceans, but it looks like it might make me cry, so it's consigned to the "maybe" pile. Jenna just finished Sea of Monsters and is keen to get started on Titan's Curse.
And our storecupboard shopping arrived today in a huge box, which of course is the most wonderful thing in the world until it falls completely apart. :)
Joining in with Ginny and friends for a weekly round up of crafting and reading. :)

Gorgeous crochet and lovely photos of your sweet kids!
ReplyDeleteFound you through Yarn Along btw (:
Thank you for stopping by, and the lovely compliments. :) Nice to "meet" you! xx
DeleteLove the colors of your blanket, how many stitches do you have per row? It looks very big. I'm working on a ripple with just over 200 and the rows seem never ending!
ReplyDeleteThe Light Between Oceans is a fantastic book - but everyone I know that has read it balled their eyes out!
Yes, this is 200 stitches, with a 5mm hook. :)
DeleteLove your crochet blanket, the colors are fab! I'm new to crochet but it's awfully fun.
ReplyDeleteMy mom told me about The Light Between the Oceans but I'm not sure I want to read a sad book so I haven't. So funny you did the same. Right now I downloaded a Winnie the Pooh book. It maybe lame but I'm in between books and I use to love it!
Thank you!
DeleteI think I'm going to leave the book, then, I could do with happy thoughts! I love Winnie the Pooh but don't enjoy reading it aloud at all, too many made up spellings to wrap my head around. ;)
Your blanket is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThe blanket is lovely and who can resist taking pictures of kids a box!
ReplyDeleteCertainly not me! :D
