Perfect Things
The museum had live field mice visiting.
We all love exploring the beautiful galleries full of interesting things.
Treasure hunts...
Colouring...
Followed by a sunny picnic lunch in the River Gardens with friends.
And a free cake from The Cake Hole (I am SO lucky)!
My spinning wheel is here and unpacked and GORGEOUS, and such a generous lovely gift I can still barely believe the kindness of friends.
I have done lots more gardening and enjoying the sunshine.
And a whole lot of yarn dyeing. :)
Today could not have been more perfect if I had planned it this way. :)

looks like you having a fab time, the choc cake looks yum. x
ReplyDeleteWe're having such a magical simple week. And the cake IS delicious, if you're ever looking for cake in or near Derby you must look her up! :)
DeleteOhhh, lovely, it's a 1970's traddy (take a look here: http://www.ashford.co.nz/newsite/images/Patterns/traditional-timeline-website.pdf) It is beautiful, it has aged into a lovely colour. It'll be similar to mine, except it will only have one ratio, I believe. So I should be able to answer most questions you have, but there's the UK spinners group and an UK Ashford group on Rav would will undoubtably be able to provide more tips. :) Can't wait to see what you produce.x
ReplyDeleteYou're the best! :)
DeleteYour spinning wheel looks great, hope you can use it soon and share pictures! Mice are not my favourites at the moment, they have a habit of eating and destroying my food crops which they did with abundance earlier thus week boo hoo :(
ReplyDeleteOh no! Naughty mice! (These little darlings were eating mealworms and running around in their wheel, so entirely innocent haha!)
